We source all ingredients from local farmers within a 100-mile radius, ensuring the freshest produce, dairy, and dry-aged beef from regions such as Somerset, Devon, and surrounding areas. Our chefs enhance these local ingredients with a modern twist and international flair, elevating each dish to create a memorable and inspiring dining experience. In August 2024, Gareth & Miranda became the new keepers of the Candlelight with their two teenage sons. After leaving the forces we travelled as a family to Naples, Italy to train as professional pizzaioli and started our very own authentic & award winning pizzeria approved by the Associazione Verace Pizza Napoletana (AVPN). Our passion for food grew beyond Italian cuisine and we were fortunate to be given the opportunity to takeover the Candlelight where we can celebrate the combination of World cuisine using great local produce.
Proud to have both served in the British Armed Forces. Serving from as local as RNAS Yeovilton in the Fleet Air Arm to the hostile environments of Afghanistan with 3 Commando Brigade. We understand how difficult it is for service personnel to transition out of the services and so we support the Armed Forces Covenant. Giving opportunities to veterans like ourselves.
