Standard Reservations:
As a small, newly established business, we’re thrilled to be busy and especially during the festive season. Unfortunately we often have guests disappointed when they can’t dine at our restaurant due to guests not turning up or cancelling too late. For this reason we are asking for a deposit of £10* per head which will be taken off your final bill. You can change or cancel your reservation up to 2 days before your booking. You will lose your deposit if you don’t turn up or try to change the booking after this time. To help us continue to serve the community, please let us know well in advance if your plans change so we have time to offer your table to someone else. Thank you for your understanding and support.
*Deposit amounts may change according to events such as Christmas Eve & New Years Eve which are in high demand.
Why do we do this? Sadly the hospitality industry is feeling the government pinch more than most. In a recent event, almost half of our bookings cancelled last minute due to bad weather. We remained open and operational. Whilst we understand and cannot do much about ”Acts of God”, we have a business to run and cannot survive if guests do not turn up and we’re unable to fill those tables.
Private Event Hire:
We will take card details at the time of booking and hold these securely. A link will be sent to collect these details via our booking system. If these are not filled in within 24hrs of the booking being made it will be deleted automatically and you will need to rebook.
- A deposit of £10 per person will be required on booking.
- If the whole booking is cancelled within 2 weeks of the booking a charge of £25 per person will be charged to the card on file. If a deposit has been paid, this will be deducted from the final amount.
- Any reductions in the number of guests within 1 week of the booking will result in a £25 fee per reduced guest. This will be charged to the card on file.
- We will charge your card without prior warning.
Filling out the card details confirms you have read and accepted the terms and conditions of booking.
Cake Policy:
At Candlelight Inn, the safety and well-being of our guests is our top priority. For this reason, we have a strict allergen procedure in place that prohibits outside food, including cakes, from being brought into our restaurant unless they are one of our approved suppliers.
We understand that you may wish to celebrate a special occasion with a cake or special dessert and so to assist we can provide a cake or special dessert with at least one week notice at a minimum fee of £25.
